Hi, I’m Sadie Brooks! I’m a small space dweller, and I know exactly how it feels to stand in the middle of an empty tiny room thinking how anything is ever going to fit in or how to organize it, and if you’re renting, no deposit lost.
SnugAbode exists because I got tired of decor advice that assumes you own a house with blank walls to drill into and a garage full of tools. Real small-space living, whether you rent or own, needs different solutions. Here, I write about the solutions to real problems you face when moving into a small space and help transform it into a snug home.
Story Behind SnugAbode
A while back, I found myself standing in the middle of my one-bedroom apartment wondering how am I gonna organize and fit this small space with all the living essentials without any drilling and with a limited budget. So, I searched for guides or anything that could help me with my dilemma. Every guide I found online was either too vague or with an assumed budget and square foot I didn’t have. So I started figuring it out myself. I tested products, researched what actually works in less space and the hard way what’s worth buying without wasting money.
That personal experience is still at the core of everything here but I don’t stop at ‘here’s what worked for me’. I dig into stuff, compare products, and look at what’s actually working for other small-space dwellers. Whether you have a rented studio apartment or own a cozy starter home, my aim is to help you all with stuff that works for everyone. SnugAbode is a blend of both real time experience and collective research. You’ll be getting tested, thought-through recommendations not just one person’s pov.
